The Clinic

Clayton Willoughby
Registered Acupuncturist

Before attending the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver, he studied at Malaspina (now VIU) in the Nursing program. Working in Acupuncture has been the goal since high school - it provides a great opportunity to work closely with people and help affect positive changes.

Initially, Clayton struggled with how to provide quality acupuncture service because the cost was out of reach for many people in his community. Several years ago, he found out about the
Community Acupuncture Network and finally found the blueprint for being able to do what he loves and still keep food on the table.
Clayton shares his time between the clinic as well as running public health programs which provide free acupuncture treatment for people with mental health issues as well as addictions.

He works closely with local organizations and groups, to supplement existing public health services for people in need.
Island Community Acupuncture is looking for more like minded practitioners with a passion for the work and for the people in Nanaimo.
